A traditional service with a clergyman is still the most common type
of funeral and your parish cleric will be pleased to take the service for you . However, everyone is unique and sometimes
a traditional funeral is inappropriate. In situations like this, it may be more fitting to have a family friend or relative
pay tribute to the deceased in place of - or in conjunction with the clergyman.
The format of the service can also
be tailored to suit the individual and this may entail sitting and listening to pieces of music - or involving everyone in
community singing.
There is nothing to stop you inviting musicians along to perform
your favourite piece.
Civil Funeral Service A civil funeral service is one where the service is tailored to suit
your specific needs without a clergyman.
Both
Mark Jardine and Stuart Watret have a wealth of experience in this field, and they can make the service as simple or as intricate
as you wish. In order to make a service special, - it is important that the celebrant receives a resumé of the life
of the person who has died as soon as possible. Given the extra preparation involved in a civil service, the celebrant may
need an extra couple of days to fully prepare and therefore consideration should be given to the actual date of the service.
Whatever type of service you require, discuss it carefully with your funeral director, who will endeavour to carry
out your wishes.
All Enquiries All enquiries will be handled by our office staff, - and they
will be pleased to pass on your instructions to your funeral director.
